-10-101There is nothing quite like using design to call back the days gone by. Alma used Adobe Photohop to clean up image files and Adobe Illustrator to build this retro promotion. Her goal was to create a graphic which highlighted the era of the albums and harmonized with the colors of the concert photo.

-10-101In August 2014, Alma became the System Administrator and Subject Matter Expert for the Loyola University Chicago instance of Kaltura (branded Loyola Media).
Comparing September 2014 to September 2015, the number of items played increased by 117%, the number of plays increased by 84% and the total minutes viewed increased 251%.

Alma and a colleague reviewed and updated the online list of items available through Loyola’s Equipment Loan Program. Alma spearheaded the visual changes, avoiding the square pictures previously used on the website and in management proposed redesigns. The final design features equipment photos in an extreme landscape aspect to facilitate a more equal visual presence for all types of equipment items.
In tandem with this visual shift, all of the content was updated and reorganized, the new organization being heavily based on the Equipment Loan Binder which was finalized two months previous. This reorganization reduced the number of menu items from 24 to 19 future-proof categories.
The website is based on the T4 content management system.

On the booklet for The Bottom Drawer Sessions, there is a photo of a drawer and its contents. These were curated by Jeremy Clyde, from family mementos to souvenirs of life on the road, and several of them have a story attached.

At the time of enrollment, Alma thought this class had a more philosophical focus, instead she was looking at astrophysics. Whenever pi was cancelled out, it was nice, because an answer without pi is rational…but life without pie would be unbearable.
